A Tip-Toe to the Early Steps Bhavani’s Teknospire story began with diving headfirst into the intricacies of fintech. Her initial project, a specific bank account opening flows integration for another fintech platform, served as “a learning ground”, providing invaluable insights into the domain. Reflecting on those early days, Bhavani shares – “This is my first stint in FinTech, so it was a learning ground for me to know what I am stepping into and helped me prove my capability to apply my previous learnings here”. This resonates with the idea that “every new beginning is some other beginning’s end,” a poignant line from the philosopher Seneca, highlighting the cyclical nature of growth and new challenges. From Code to Command: Bhavani’s Teknospire Journey Bhavani’s started off really strong with backend development, using the Go programming language, and getting to grips with all the details of fintech. But she didn’t stay there for long. Pretty quickly – in just about a year – she moved into a leadership role. What does that mean? Well, it meant she was leading projects from beginning to end, which is a big deal! She was also managing a team of engineers remotely and across different locations, not just the backend. And on top of that, she was working closely with our clients and Teknospire teams across different departments and locations to make sure everyone was on the same page. Bhavani says that the support she got from her teammates was key to her success in balancing the technical side of things with what the business needed. Now, her drive is to continuously thrive – to become even better in technology, team building, and fostering team growth. This includes things like planning projects, writing clear documentation, making sure we have the right people working on the right tasks, and setting up efficient processes to build and release our software. At first, everything seemed to be working fine with the main system (the bioservices integration). But getting the actual fingerprint scanners and their software to work together was much harder than she expected. This challenge made Bhavani use her background in systems engineering to solve the problem. When she finally got it working, it was a great feeling! But more importantly, it changed how she saw fintech. She realized that fintech isn’t just about apps and websites; it can also involve complex, technical work at a deeper level. This made her excited because she knew she could use her skills in this area to build things that have a real impact. Bhavani’s Vibrant Life Palette She’s not just a master of code; she’s a devoted mom to her two amazing daughters. To her, quality time means diving into captivating books, sharing laughter over fun videos, and embarking on spontaneous YouTube explorations – because who knows what wonders the internet holds!
